I am a self-taught graphite pencil artist, currently based in the picturesque countryside of East-England. Growing up in The Lake District, I always knew I was going to be an artist, I remember I was that kid at family gatherings, doodling pictures of my Barbie’s in the corner. Even though I studied art at college where I was introduced to different ways of creating art, nothing ever compared to how much I loved drawing in pencil.
I naturally found my love in drawing faces during school and it made me feel so lucky to have found my preferred medium and subject at a young age which really helped my skills to flourish steadily as I got older. The ability to translate emotions onto paper fills me with a sense of accomplishment and a profound appreciation for the power of art.
I specialise in hand drawn portraits of people and animals, they are such a great way to commemorate a loved oned. I couldn't think of a more meaningtul gift to give to a colleague, your good friends or family. It truly does touch people in a way a photograph couldn't.
